Default Original battery orientation question

My '41 has a 6 volt positive ground battery and some jury rigged cables, I am trying to figure out how it was originally setup. Somewhere down the line someone bolted together a round battery cable to a flat ground strap which is mounted to the fire wall. The negative side goes directly to the soleniod which seems correct. The positive terminal of the battery faces to the front of the car, not sure if that is correct. There is a seperate flat ground cable from firewall to a rear head bolt. I would like to put it back to the way it came from the factory, any one have a diagram and pictures?

Thanks looks like my battery needs to be turned around, I will search for those part numbers on the cables.

My 40 looks like this. Similar to 41 except my system is 12V, (-) ground. I turned the battery around and used a copper sleeve on NEG. battery post so the stock cable would fit and look the same as OEM.

Original Ford 6 volt batteries had the positive and negative cables located as shown in the VanPelt wiring diagram.

Almost all newer 6 volt batteries moved the positive and negative to the opposite corners from Ford. More important locations for 35-36 Fords under the floor since cable length can be a problem.

Here's a picture of the 17plate or 15 plate battery used in 1941. Notice the location of the battery terminals,
