Default interior upholstery nails

hello does any one know where the ring shank nails that hold panels onto door can be bought? I know snyders, etc sell them but buyer has to buy socket with nail thanks

You might try a boat repair yard. I restored a row boat long ago and used bronze ring shanks.

Hamiltron Marine Supply, Searsport, Maine. They are called ring nails. They have an 800 #. Good people.

I hope you are not talking the door panels. you do NOT use rim shank nails on them. the rim shank nails are for holding the metal to the wood, not the upholstery.

thanks- i'll contact the boat builders outfit in maine- by the way the ring shank nails are the nails that go in the "sockets" in the doors of phaeton [at least, and maybe othr models also]. they come as a set with the socket but the sockets are now plastic instead of the original metal

The nails and plastic sockets that are used in the Phaeton, Roadster, Closed Cab Pickup, are available from LeBaron-Bonney. Original sockets were metal.
