I AM INSTALLING AC IN MY 39 AND AM LOOKING AT DIFFERENT WAYS TO ADD VENTS WITHOUT MAJOR MODIFICATIONS TO THE DASH.

39 only has 1 ashtray to left or right(not sure which side) of speaker grille.40's have 2 ,one at each end of the dash near the doors.Different size.

I have two ash tray and switch bezels, this would give me two outlet on each side of the speaker grill plus two more some where else.

In 39 I believe the choke and throttle are on the upper part on each side of the speaker.Next to the speaker was the cigarette lighter and the other side the ashtray.Your dash might have been modified.
