Picked up a tranny for the gears, looked like the cluster gear is in really really good shape. 2nd gear looks good as well, 1st is shot along with the case and shifter. It is a 29 tranny apparently and I will get rid of the 29 stuff cheap. What year is the window crank? It is gone as well cheap.

I also found a few items at Monroe, Zenith carb and a lower half for rebuilding, a dist. body, and two sets of headlight lenses. I am a happy camper!

The Monroe swap meet was the first swap meet I attended after inheriting my grandfathers coupe. I got some restored 1931 year license plates at that meet. Now that I'm in Idaho they're on my garage wall. It was all downhill from there. I volunteered my time helping the Gallopin Gertie ford model A club of Tacoma host the Almost Spring meet for years, and I've been to other swap meets in the pacific northwest and I've been to Hershey twice. Even if you think you have everything you'll ever need its always fun to browse.

I stripped down the tranny for parts and this is the results: Cluster gear, and U joint are perfect no pits or round teeth. 1st gear has all of the teeth rounded but 2nd is really in good shape. There is no real play in shaft that the gears ride on. One thing that I thought was interesting was that the ball bearings were made in Sweden. Overall a great buy.
