Is there an on line parts book for Model A's. Does anyone sell a reproduction of same. Norm

Check with Bert's, Bratton's, or Snyder's. Try to buy the 1931 Chassis Parts book, rather than the 1932. I have both, but like the 1931 because it has ONLY Model A parts.

I'm sorry, I wasn't clear. I'm looking for an Original parts parts book with the original part numbers for the original body parts. Ie. door parts, top parts, etc. I was a partsman for 40 years. It's kind of like a security blanket. Thanks. Norm

Pretty much the same answer. Snyder's catalog lists the Body Parts Book as their number BA-5, for $24 in the older catalog I have.

Every restorer should have this book to identify the chassis and motor parts by correct name and Ford number. It lists all of the chassis parts, along with the year each was used. Also tells correct hardware that was used for attaching each part. U.S.A.

The book Carl just pictured is a "must have". I also have the body parts book, but never use it. It has no pictures for reference. My body parts book is an original and I think I bought it on ebay years ago.

One thing you need to keep in mind for slightly later parts books is that Ford used all new part numbers for the Model B (this was the last time Ford would change the part number for a new model when the part itself was the same). If a part used on a Model A (and started with the prefix "A") was carried over (as the identical part)to the 1932 it would carry a "B" prefix on the part number. If a part was not carried over it would carry the "A" prefix. Another danger lurking in parts books is that they were intended to allow the dealers to keep the cars running (not to "restore" them) and changes in parts that allowed the parts to remain functionally interchangeable did not result in a new part number (such as changing from a stamping to a forging).
