There is a metal box shaped cover over the moving electric parts.

I have found for re installing put the unit together on the bench and run tape around it to hold it together until you get the screws installed in the back .Otherwise you need all 10 fingers and some luck to put it back ,then remove the tape.

Absolutely I just went thru this. I put some black electrical tape around it to hold it all together while you put it back on, otherwise it is a fit.

I was trying to be careful taking it apart for the first time, and of course all of the pieces fell off into my hand, so then it's 'How the heck does this thing go back together??'

The little black plastic part with the brass strip only goes one way, that little hole on the plastic side goes onto the 'can' it has a pivot point.

It works easier if you have the switch and toggle lever in 'off' as I recall. Before you screw back in those two fine screws hold it all tight with one hand in position and then turn the key to unlock and work the toggle 'on-off' up and down a few times to be sure you have it lined up right. That was one reason I took it off and re-did it!

It IS kind of a cheesy design as Charlie ny told me he was 100% correct
