Recommendations on fixing a sagging headliner
I have a 29 Fordor with a sagging headliner.
I need someone who will treat this fine-point car with loving care. Any recommendations will be greatly appreciated. Thanking you in advance. PS - I live in SW Virginia about 50 miles from Bristol VA/TN. |

Re: Recommendations on fixing a sagging headliner
If the listings are pulling away from the material of the head liner then it will likely need a new head liner.

Re: Recommendations on fixing a sagging headliner
Thanks but that is not the issue. A kit manufacturer used incorrect (-used too heavy of) material, and it has sagged over time. Steaming the fabric draws it taunt for a few days before the threads start relaxing again. For years Tom has been told over and over that it will need to be replaced to make it correct.

Re: Recommendations on fixing a sagging headliner
Most headliners are made from lighter material for that reason. Once a person has to start taking the headliner down, it just wouldn't make sense to try and repair it. It's easier to replace it with one that has more correct materials as long as the bows & tack strips are still good.
