Default Overall Vehicle Dimensions

Does anyone happen to have, or know of a website that has, a listing of the length x width dimensions of the early V8 model years? I'm looking for assembled dimensions from bumper to bumper and outside of fender to outside of fender; not just the easily obtainable chassis dimensions. The '32 and '33/34 dimensions would be of particular interest.

Are you looking for a specific year? Looks like you can find this information online (at least some of it) and in the Reference Books.

That restorer's guide series is pretty cheap and available for '32, '33, and '34. The drawings are actually from the Ford Salesman's manuals, which are rare and expensive.

The best sources for this info are the salesman/dealer handbooks produced each year that contain schematic drawings for each model. I have several, but my earliest is 1941. The other source is The-Blueprints.com were I found the below pics. Stu

I'm primarily interested in the '32 and '33/'34 since those are the years that I have, albeit in disassembled form. I do have the multi-volume books for these years, but unfortunately they are packed away in storage at another location and are not accessible to me right now.

The others years would be helpful simply for future reference.

It looks like the overall length is relatively easy to find, but the overall widths appear to be a different story.

Here's width info on the 36 half ton. I'll continue to look to see what else I have archived. Stu

Mike - the 33-34 open cab pickup measured 66 1/4" in width. Same as closed cab pickup. Length of each truck was 179 1/2", but you may already have that. These dimensions are measured from outside fender to fender and outside bumper to bumper.
Measured Drawings are from the EFV8 1933-1934 Ford restoration manual, page G-16.
I don't have the 32 information. Bryan

If you want any info on car models I have that as well.

Thanks for the measurement; that's actually one I was specifically looking for since I too have an open cab. I have a suspicion the trucks are the same overall width between '32 and '33/34 since the beds and fenders the same width.

They should be around somewhere! I'm sure they were produced as part of the original promotional material, it's just a question of where to find them now!

Information for all, a 32 Ford will fit in a 68" x 164" rectangle.
