Default What's it worth?

I have the stock straight 6 motor/trans and other misc motor parts out of my 1947 Ford Fordor. But I have no idea what it's worth... Or if its even worth trying to sell. I don't just want to junk it. I figured someone may want an original motor/trans, but I have no idea what it is worth? Any ideas?

It's absolutely worth trying to sell. Your engine is not only pretty darn scarce, it's a strong, cool running Ford. I'd suggest mounting it and the tranny on a test stand to demonstrate that it's not an anchor. It'll sell if it runs.

If the trasmissions good it should be good for $150 + alone.

Someone contacted me the other day about needing a generator and some other parts. PM me and I will pass on the info.

Thanks

Fibber, the trans would go for $150 by itself? I'm not sure if it is good though.... And the motor COULD run, just needs to be flushed out. How much could I put the motor up for? I'm an honest person, so I dont want to rip people off, I just dont know how much these things go for.

Whats the best way to tell if it is good? It seems to go through the gears fine...

I'd open it up and see what it looks like and then take some pics and then either part it out or put the whole trans on ebay. Do a search for flathead transmission on ebay and you'll see what I'm talking about.

I didn't know people bought only the parts for these. That is an option for me, I just don't want to be sitting on it forever. I'll have to do some looking like you reccomended. And I have wanted to openit up since I got it inJune, so I might have to do that this week!
