Brake Pedal
The brake pedal doesn't come back even with the clutch pedal even with all the rods disconnected. It isn't this way in my sport coupe. This is a 29 Fordor. what am I missing or cant see.
I can't return it even with the clutch pedal, even by pulling back by hand with all the rods disconnected Last edited by jack wingard; 08-05-2020 at 05:40 PM. |

Re: Brake Pedal
Might pull the clutch inspection cover and check the status of the throwout bearing spring.

Re: Brake Pedal
At the base of the pedal forging there is probably wear. This wear can be built up with weld and dressed with a file .

1. most of the time it is the clutch pedal which is too far back. 2. Most common cause is that this clutch collar is worn. Click to see photo: https://modelastore.com/index.php?ro...roduct_id=3714 +Do not weld clutch pedal until you replace this collar. 3. Collar usually is softer steel than pedals so collar wears first. NOTE depending on how much collar is worn ... you might have to readjust clutch free play. Last edited by Benson; 08-05-2020 at 09:36 PM. |

Re: Brake Pedal
I think Benson gave you the answer. It’s in the wear of the collar, most likely the clutch is to high. The collars are what control how far up the pedals travel.

Re: Brake Pedal
1. If both pedals are the same distance from the floor board.
Then it is possible that someone bent the pedals for some reason. Last edited by Benson; 08-06-2020 at 03:05 PM. |
