Default Glenn Johnson cars for sale

Since I'm doing this and not Glenn I'm not sure where to start. We had Glenn's cars appraised and now I am going to try to sell them myself. He can't help me so here goes.

Here are the cars that are for sale: I will give you the price when you contact me. My email is [email protected]

Glenn is known throughout the Model A Community for his pristine cars. They have all been awarded best of show and 1st places in various Model A meets and Concours de'Elegance meets.

1928 Tudor Sedan
1929 Coupe
1929 Station Wagon
1921 Sports Coupe
1928 Roadster Chassis

What year is the Sport Coupe? That would help potential buyers.

Sharon,

Sorry to hear about Glenn. I am too far away to offer hands on assistance but I have a few suggestions. First, get lots of pictures. Cell phone pictures are good enough if they are taken close enough to show what you want people to see. Fill the picture with what you want to show since the phone cameras usually don't have enough resolution for much enlargement. Get pictures of front, back, both sides, quarter angles, engine compartment, undercarriage and upholstery. Get pictures of parts that are going with each car or are for sale separately. Reach out to any automotive friends Glenn has as they will have a better idea of what is important. Place an ad here (free) with one "teaser" type photo of each car, send followup pictures to anyone that is interested. If Glenn was in the national clubs (MAFCA or MARC) place an ad there (probably free but with printing cut off dates it may take a couple of months for the ads to appear). If Glenn was not in the national clubs maybe a friend could place the ad. Contact any local Model A clubs within a couple a hundred miles. They will probably put a free ad in their monthly newsletter.

Be sure of the appraisers credentials (does he appraise muscle cars or Model A's) and impartiality (he or a close friend of his don't want to buy them). You might want to post pictures here with the appraised values to let people comment on whether or not the appraised values are realistic.

Do you know how to use private messaging on this site? Do you read the emails sent to the email address on this site? Best of luck.

It says 1921 so I might be a 21.
I’ll bet that it isn’t a 2021.

Sharon,

You should gather up all of the titles for the cars and make sure they match a number on the car. The number can be either stamped into a cast boss on the drivers side of the engine or on a plate riveted to the drivers side door jam. Doing this early will save any last minute panics when the cars are sold.

Great suggestions, Charlie Stephens. Hopefully she and Glenn have some Model A friends nearby to help.

Sharon, all of us had you and Glenn in our thoughts while we were in Reno. Wish I could be of help, but I'm on the wrong coast.
