Amusing
Just find it really amusing that "out-of-date" has posted a 29 closed car dash rail
54 times in Model A for sale! Not being critical as such but rather amused at the tenacity. We can all post as we see fit within the rules which ood surely is. I just see the upped post and grin. What was it Einstein was defining when he said "doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result"? Good luck to you out-of-date maybe someone will stumble across it!!! 90! Will he hit 100? Last edited by Oldbluoval; 07-03-2016 at 06:56 PM. |

Re: Amusing
I have noticed the same thing many times. The lister hasn't ever reduced the price for some unknown reason. I think there should be a limit to how many time an ad can be renewed. It seems that the lister is just clogging up the for sale area. It is obvious that it wont sell at the high price he is asking. It is so easy to weld up extra holes in a dash; I have done it several times, so there isn't anything special about a "no extra holes" dash panel.
We have a nut case that has listed a red 29 sport coupe on our Twin Cities Craigslist 40 or 50 times (for over a year) at the same inflated price of $21,000. It isn't even that nice of car. Why some people do this is beyond me, maybe they have nothing else to do. Rusty Nelson |

Re: Amusing
What happened to the 3 day posting rule? Seems like he bumps every 2 days. Go figure. Here is the rule that Ryan posted.

Re: Amusing
The day will come when someone will be in need of one right away and there it will be at a price he will be willing to pay.

Re: Amusing
Carl,
You are probably right, he may not really want to see the fire engine red sport coupe sold, but does he have to list it 40 or 50 times, sometimes every two or three day. Rusty Nelson Last edited by wrndln; 04-17-2016 at 09:39 PM. |

Re: Amusing
You got to give out-of-date a lot of credit for being persistent. He must not have anything else to do but post the dash ad every other day. If he really wanted to sell it you would think he would drop the price to $30 or $40 and maybe sell it. I think it must be a game for him.

Re: Amusing
What's that old adage? We can do a variation on that.
"Its not that he asks too much - its more that he is selling too soon." I think he just wants it to sell at the optimal moment. Some people just can't stand being "taken." Joe K

Re: Amusing
I too found it interesting and decided to look at his public profile. I wondered why no one had ever sent him a pm and asked him directly as to why he was doing this?
It is interesting that he is classed as a Senior Member, but even from his very first post till his last, he only posts the same items in the "For Sale" area of the board and nothing regarding anything else related to the Model A hobby. He has well over 600 + posts and all for the same few items. Most sites would consider such as a form of trolling, but I suppose it is allowed if there isn't any rules against such or if moderators simply miss it in what they look at. Either way, you do have to admit that it is a bit strange or unusual and it does indeed set a record in an odd manner. I just wish I had a spare '29 closed car dash rail to offer up and compete with him in challenging his record. :-) |
