Default 36 Front Axle

Hi Guys, I,m new at this, bear with me. I've got a juiced axle 38 or 39, I guess. Is there any differences in measurements from this to a 1936.I noticed the perches are different, and the spindle pins. I've got 36 spindles, back plates, shocks, front spring. I would like to use this if I can.
Going back to mechanical brakes. Thanks loads guys. Lost Newbie

If you're going back to mechanical brakes, you'll need a 33-36 front axle... The brake linkage looks like it needs specific location for each component... 37 up axle will upset this... Karl

There are several difference between '33-'36 and '37-'41 front axles. Overall length, distance between axle purch pin holes and thickness of wishbone mounting pads. I would suggest finding a '33-'36 axle and forget that '38-'39. Advertise here in the wanted section and keep an eye on eBay. They are not difficult to find.

Are you sure you have a '38-39 front axle.. Converting early cars to hydraulic brakes was usually done by changing the spindles and king pins to '40-41 spindles, king pins and backing plates..

'33-'36 is 36 1/2 " CC on perch holes and the '37-'41 will measure 38 1/2" CC.
