Re: bed for 1934 fenderless hotrod
In the 90's I made several beds using the external dimensions of a 32/34 bed. They were all the stock width but were different lengths depending on the truck. I made them out of 14 gauge cold roll. I took the dimensions to a local sheet metal shop and they bent it to my specs and I brought the parts home and welded it together. They had all the bends of a stock bed but with a fixed tailgate. Also I made the stake pockets out of 2 inch square tube. I used furniture grade marine plywood for the floors. If my memory is correct I had about 700.00 in each bed.
