Early air conditioning
Found this little fan at a local flea market. After I determine it works, I noted it was made by the Heinz, the same company that made electric wiper motors.

My 49 Ford had 4/60 air conditioning. Worked really well too.

A local man showed me one of these fans last weekend. His was a vacuum operated Trico two bladed fan. Pretty interesting.

They use to use fans like that to keep the windshields clear in the winter time.
Back in the day many cars with out fresh air deforsters use them. The school bus I use to ride on use a couple of them. |

School bus i used to ride on had them as well....that wasnt super long ago either haha. I still remmebr the "backup bus" if our normal one was broken down. Had super short seats in that 1950's green and a 3 speed manual trans haha.
