1932 5-Window vs Cabriolet
Question
Are the body dimensions of the 32 5-window and cabriolet close enough to do a swap on a TCI frame built for the 5-window? In other words put the cabriolet body on the 5-window frame. |

Re: 1932 5-Window vs Cabriolet
Perfect swap as long as you are talking about original steel bodies. This is assuming that
the TCI frame was correcting drilled for a 32 and not some after marketing body with questionable body mounting holes.

Fred ....Let's look at it in just a little different light. Cabriolets, 5-windows, 3-windows, c-dans, roadsters....ALL of 'em were manufactured to bolt on to ANY 1932 Ford chassis. Coop/AMERICAN . |

Thanks for the clarification on the 32 model interchangeability. That helps a lot.

Re: 1932 5-Window vs Cabriolet
I can't think of anything that would be an issue - as long as the frame was designed for stock mounting points. With that said, it is usually NOT a big deal to rework a frame to add them - unless it is boxed, then things become really messy.

Did you leave the pickup out of this list on purpose? I thought it was the same frame as the passenger car? thank you Patrick |
