Default Need help with identification please

A friend of mine asked what the difference was between these 2 Model A brake cross shafts - see photo attached. Can anyone help us out?

I think the lower on is for a AA

Doesn't look like AA. The one pictured below was used on left hand emergency brake cars when converting to solid brake cross shaft.
The other picture is of AA cross shafts.
