Default Cowl Vents

Does anyone know if a '37 cowl vent hinge and handle will work on a '36 cowl vent? All of our extra '35/36 assemblies are junk and I know where I can get a '37 for parts. Thanks.

Don't mean to Hi-jack your thread but it sounds like you have had these out of the cowl. I have one that is stuck pretty bad so I am now thinking of taking it out to repair. The lever and linkage seems free, its hanging up in the cowl itself. Possible rust damage on one side of the hinge. Can you explain the process for removal of cowl vents. If I have an idea of what to do I might possibly save myself from further damage. Appreciate any advice. thanks Q
