I just met Mark Moriarty at the Saratoga meet. He drove his nice '32 Ford to the show. A friend and fellow Fordbarner just had a '37 engine rebuilt by Mark but he has not picked it up yet.

you say your going to pull eng if you have that abelety get a shop manual & do it your self. its not that hard you say good oil pressure .just pull the pistons . have mechine shop mike walls in car . how maney miles do you drive it. if your like most of us it,s onley a few thousand miles a year . bring it to one of them experts don,t forget to stop at the bank there simple eng. i don,t know why they make such a big deal out of them . back in the day just about every farmer did it. j.m.o

There are several here on Long Is. Beval Engine, C. Isp.631- 348- 0555 Mike; Jack Merkle, Hauppauge 234-2600; L.A.B Engine Lindenhurst, Lee Bandrow 888-9390; Hampton Engines, Old Riverhead Rd. Westhampton Beach Rudy Marzano, 288-0893 and Motive Parts Co.Port Washington, Peter Burrows, 516-883-2300. These are some of the best. All have time on them and know flatheads.

Tell them Rich Overton from out of the past and of Federal Mogul says Hello.

Your welcome Al! Maybe we could meet sometime I am in Hampton Bays. Rudy is very good people! They are all great. Beval did a split six ( forgive me guys, a week moment) 1932 Pontiac for me several years ago. he needed nothing but a few items from Egge. Started up on the bench. Ran like a charm.

If your willing to drive to Pa there's Simpson Machine(these are the guys who took over Marshal Hall's operation Marshal owned Pine View Machine and only did flatheads but retired after he got cancer he was very well known in the flathead world) they have rebuilt 3 flatheads for me and i have 5 more headed there....best rebuilders I have ever seen. They do probably 6 or 7 flatheads a year well test run them on a stand for you and warrantee their work...if you want a smooth running flathead....this is the place....you can stand a nickel on one of their flatheads running and accelerate the rpms and the nickel doesn't move...my buddy had a 40 Merc done by them it's been in 49 states(not hawaii) and every province in Canada and still runs like the day it was rebuilt...typical rebuild well run around $4000...that's all parts and labor....the go through your carb and machine any nessary parts and mill the carb lips slightly for good gasket seal...they built my 304ci stroker flatty and went above and beyond with the engine custom machined girdles....a whole host of other things that I didn't even ask for definitely the best in my book....if this sounds like a commercial I'm sorry I get know benefit from recommending them other then being happy to pass along information. Phone for them is 570-546-7900...they are in Clarkstown, PA if you use them feel free to stop by my place and see a garage full of flatheads...offers open to anyone anytime
