How much torque on a spindle nut
How much torque do you put on a front bearing spindle nut. I know you tighten it down till all the grease is out than back off to the next notch on the nut. But what if that next notch is to tight.

I use 15 inch pounds after the initial set up and back-off.

Re: How much torque on a spindle nut
If the nut turns easy on the threads I just tighten it with my fingers ---first with wrench while rotating, back it off, tighten as tight as you can get it with 2 fingers ---put in cotter pin backing off just enough to put in pin.
