packing body blocks 28-9 roadster p/u

Hi folks, at this stage i am setting up the body blocks on my 28 roadster p/u.
It says that on the chassie side of the wooden body block there is a rubber pad,now i have done that on body block 3 and 4.The question is dose a rubber pad go on the front body block 1 .2.3.This is for a steel sub frame.The front body block is all one block for 1.2.3..In the front section there is not much room to put a rubber pad, as it slides in between two metal brackets.
