Default 1946 Mercury 12v Wiper Bench Testing Help.

https://static.speedwaymotors.com/pd...structions.pdf

So fiting a Speedway 12v Electric Wiper Kit.
Fitted it up to car tried it then it stopped. Nil burning smell.
Its a 2 speed set up. 4 terminals on switch.
Battery, Park, High, Low. I wired incorrect at terminals!!
To now remove to check and want to bench test before refit.

How to set it up on bench to check/ test operation before refitting it.

ie 12v +ve to battery terminal. other 3 terminals as labelled.
Motor to be earthed back to -ve on battery and it should fire up??
Or hold in vice and earth vice back to battery?

Appreciate advice as hope motor is ok as long wait period for down under shipping.
