Default Need to Share My Best Easter Ever

I've been working on a special truck. My Great Grandfather bought this truck new in 1940. He took my Grandmother to the hospital in it when my Dad was born.
Today my Dad's health is fading fast. I started doing a full restoration but feared I was running out of time to give my Dad a ride in it so the mission became "Just get it running again.".
Easter weekend I drove it 75 miles to my Dad's house and gave him a ride in his Grandfather's old truck. He hasn't left the house in a long time but this made his day.

Thank you all for the help and advise/parts I've gotten from the good people here.

I am glad that your Dad enjoyed the ride in the 1940 Ford Pick-up again, 80 years since his first ride.
I am sure that he appreciated the effort that you put in to arrange for this ride.
Your 1940 Ford Pick-Up Looks great.

VERY FEW will ever get the opportunity you did to share that ride with your dad with that exceptional vehicle with all that family history. Congratulations on achieving your objective!

Well done. The old fella looks chuffed to see the old truck again. Respect for you for what you did and best wishes to the Old Man.

HD, this is a great story....and it would also make a great contribution to the V8 Times magazine! Not sure if you get the bi-monthly publication from the Early Ford V8 Club, but I'm thinking Jerry Windle, the editor would really be interested in your Easter story!!
