Re: Bought a '39 Coupe Today!!!
Nothing like walking into a garage and buying a 'museum' that is sitting there, untouched, from many decades ago. Almost makes one feel a bit wrong to be 'disturbing' the scene in any way. When I found my 32 Cab - it had sat untouched and in the corner of 'Grandpa's' workshop - since 1959 (this was in 2013). Even the pictures on the walls were his old girlie pictures from the 40's and 50's. Wish I owned a place like 'Speedy Bill' - would have bought the whole scene - and transported it as it was to put it back up as what a true 'garage/barn find' looks like . . .
Good luck with you car - get her running soon! |

Re: Bought a '39 Coupe Today!!!
There was an old Russian, that had a Buick straight 8 with split manifolds. I helped him with minor engine service, wash and wax, and driving him on Sunday trips.
We visited Southern Illinois, Missouri, Kentucky, and Indiana. That old Buick had a great ride, and lots of power. Great memories. Bruce
