can someone tell me what I have here??

This is a cowl I just received. As you see, the top of the windshield frame is cut. But I was given another piece to fix that with. However, the two posts are not the same shape. Hopefully you can see the post on the cowl and the post that is to be used as a patch. What am I dealing with here?? Different years?? Body styles?? I'm ignorant with As. This is my first build. I'm building a Woodie Pickup. My frame is a January '31 piece, so trying to be '31 correct as much as is reasonable. Help, thanks . . . . .

The post is a 28-29 item I can tell by the hinge. I'm fairly sure all 30-31 hinges have screws on the inside edge like the ones in your cowl. Bob

OK thanks. I could tell the cross section of the pieces were not the same. So my "patch" piece is no good for my cowl. Is the frame for the glass the same?? Meaning, will it work for me??

The W/S frame looks right ,, but it has no hinge on it.

The offset for the slide bars brackets on the windshield frame are different 28-9 vs 30-1.

so nothing I have "extra" will work with my cowl? poop! I guess I could trade the glass frame towards one for me. Then I still need to find the upper part of the windshield support on the cowl so I can graft that on.

If your looking at selling those extra's let me know
