Default "Relay"..............

Saw that word on another thread, I wish I could help the guy out but...how about a "Relay" across America???? Anyone up for a relay from Maine to California??? Back roads, no Interstates, straight lines or zig-zagging eventually getting to CA. Say every 50-75 miles another Barner Model A and driver takes over from another Barner Model A and driver. Hey!! press coverage!!!! We could be the Forrest Gump's of Model A Fords!!!!

No Guts, No Glory!!!!!!!!!!!!

Watch it, as Bill Clinton says, it depends on the meaning of "relay".

Very intriguing idea.
In a "relay" something is carried/passed on from one participant to the other.

Is there a Model A museum in Calif? Maybe a East coast club could send something, by way of the relay, or it could go the other way, and come West to East.

A log book showing the members who took part up/down/across their state from state line to state line. We have members from every state, it shouldn't be hard to organize. It doesn't have to be done in a month, two months, weather would slow some down, do your stretch when it's possible, regardless how long it takes, as long it gets finished.

Lincoln, Route 66, etc etc..............as long as it eventually gets across the state, depends on the amount of participation, could come into one state and then go north, back south across a ways before crossing over. Needs to start in Maine, organized across Maine before crossing into the next state and co-ordination would lie with each state participants.

Sounds fine, the more participation the bigger the Log Book, anyone from Maine want to kick it off?

In 2018, it will be the 90th anniversary of the first model year of the Ford Model A.
About 18 months to put this together.

Coast to coast is about 3500 miles, to hit every State (and stay off the freeways) could triple that, figure 10,000 miles, 50-100 mile relay legs, you would need at least 100-200 drivers/cars.

I believe thousands of Barner's would happily sign on to this venture.
This is a very doable project.

Sign me up for Oklahoma (Route 66)
