Default 33 5W Banger

Been awhile but have finally made some progress on my 33 5W Deluxe B Model.
Car has matching engine and Chassis.
Decided to hop up the B, Yapp Riley 2 Port overhead valve conversion with twin 94 Holley carbs, drilled crank for full oil and inserted bearings, new rods and 80 over 283 Chev pistons, Stipe cam and oil pump.
I mated this to a 2008 Tremec TR6060 6 speed manual gearbox with 2 overdrives, 36 rear with 4.11:1 ratio.

hopefully to have a driving chassis in 6 months, still a little longer for paint etc as there is still a lot of metal work to do.

Looks like a really nice and cool project - love it! Just wondering (as I don't know bangers), will you have enough torque to pull the overdrive in the highest ratio? What ratios are the overdrives in it?

I really like what you're doing. You don't, perchance, have any photos of the transmission installation, do you? I don't think I've ever seen anything like it done before.

Very cool. Love those OHV set-ups for bangers.

It should specs out at around 100 h.p., right?

The head and front drive distributor and intake are from Charlie Yapp.
I made a 16mm aluminium sandwich plate to mount the gearbox to the BB bellhousing, this caused issues with the flywheel and the hydraulic throw out bearing, so I added 16mm to the flywheel, after lightening the flywheel I got a Nissan fly wheel and turned the back off of it to get me to 13.5mm then using a 2.5mm aluminium spacer I bolted the two flywheels together, total flywheel weight without clutch and pressure plate is 47lbs this was then all balanced and surfaced. The Tremec over drive ratios are 0.8 and 0.57, I have anticipated that I should be able to pull the second overdrive at around 70MPH and cruise at 80 MPH at 2000 rpm, only time will tell, I am expecting to see around the 100HP and think the torque should pull the second overdrive.

cheers

Great work!
Have it painted like a standard 32 black ford and dress like an old man,
And then tear out and shut down everyone at the stop light!
Great fun!

Thanks for the update on the transmission/flywheel setup. Now if you could just get the clutch/brake pedals and steering "fixed" . . . on the completely wrong side of things!
