Default I seen something truly amazing.

Flathead speed and machine has an EFI system for the Flathead, I was flabbergasted. I had to look really hard a couple times in the video to see the system, It's truly amazing cause if ya want to, just take the injection part off and put the carb back on your throttle body. I was like WOW I CAN'T BELEAVE IT. I also seen on another site, Demon carburetor CO has they're 98 series for the Flathead. It's amazing sure but I'm gonna stay traditional.

First I gotta look at the engine later this month and see if it's the right one. 276 8AB. I am gonna run carbs though. I will admit I'm stuck on weather to run dual 81's or a 4bbl. This is after I get the engine and see what it needs of course.

The 8BA engine is 239 cubic inches, not 276.

The demon carb has been out for a while.

The one I had pulled up didnt say this CID is this engine. thats why I asked. What year is the 276, and what CID says it is a 276? All I'm finding is 255 engines.

Hi,
Stock Ford 239, stock late Mercury 255 (4" stroke, bore same).
Anything else has been bored and/or stroked. Don't confuse 337EQ truckk as same engine. Al Kk.

JD,
I've been watching your posts about your project. It's great that you've got the fever to build a cool project, however I respectfully suggest you slow down and BREATHE. To me, it looks like you're running around with your hair on fire trying to make a list of all the best stuff to put into your project, but you're not looking at the practical reality of making it REAL.

This is going to be a long term commitment. Most guys spend years building a project and many guys will tear it apart and re-do things as they go along.

A lot of the stuff you've been talking about costs a pretty penny. If you make a list and add it up, you're talking about a very expensive project and you have to ask yourself if that is reasonable under you own situation.

You can get a ton of pleasure from a less-than-perfect car that you fix up a little at a time. That's how most guys here do it, unless they have a fat checkbook to write fat checks on a new toy. Not that there is anything wrong with expensive toys.

To be clear, a 276" motor is a block that has been puched out .125" ans uses a 4" stroke crank. No Ford flathead came from the factory as a 276" motor.

I would suggest that you first save your pennies and invest in some good books about old Fords and flathead V-8 engines. Then you need to sit down and spend more quality time reading them rather than just pounding keys to be heard. It is obvious in your seemingly endless postings that you are not familiar with Ford V-8 flatheads. Most of your posts seem to lend themselves more towards the HAMB rather than towards preserving as they were produced. Only observing and offering some constructive criticism.

I am planning on putting a throttle body FI on my 37 v8, essentially an electronic carburetor. This is when I get a MPFI for my 63 corvette 327 and take off the Affordable TBFI. But then again I like to modify my old Fords....

Good Advice, J.D. you might want to try H.A.M.B. too.

It might be good to go over there too and get H.A.M.B. member's opinion.

I would agree with Kahuna's post. I would just add don't spend your money yet. Try to get a better idea on what exactly you want and then go from there.

You'd be surprised the deals you can get on here, the HAMB, and even EBay. What helps is you know what you are looking for and can pull the trigger on a good deal when you come across it.

Best of luck and hang in there.
