Default Drop light

Suggestions for a good drop light. At Cabin Fever I bought a quality one but i can't see with it. the soft light blurs on me. Light bars do the same. I haven't found a battery light that will stay where I want it or is bright enough.
Working on the underneath of the car is a challenge. I'm getting old...
Happy Thanksgiving.

I felt the same until I got this one by Bayco. Nightstick SLR 2120-91. I would throw away all the rest of mine and just keep this one. Google it.

Use the old drop light that takes a 60W light bulb and change to 100W LED 2800L. Same for the old aluminum temporary lights with the clamp and swivel, They get too hot for an incandescent bulb the LED works great and they don't break or burn out the filament.

I use this every time I work on the car or truck. I found it to be the best. It’s $20, at tractor supply.

Check out the Ullman RT 48 LT on Amazon; magnetic , incredible bright, rotating - my absolute go to and no complaints after several years.

I have found that Harbor Freight lights don't hold up well and have a short life.

Did you know GE made drop lights years and years ago.
I have one that was never used still in the wrapper. They
also made spark plug wire sets. I also have a set they
made for a model "A" Both items look new. G.M.

I know this isn't the answer you want to hear, but I've bought my last couple drop lights at swap meets. The new ones just aren't made as well. I put 100w equivalent LED bulbs in so they don't get hot and burn arms and upholstery.

Who would have thought that GE (an electrical company) made electrical stuff?

This is how I find quality tools also. I know there haven’t been many Swap Meets lately. I got a nice retractable older drop light at the last NE Dragway Swap for $5. Rechargeable are good but battery operated ones always piss me off. ....Mark
