Wiring Harness Light Housing with pictures
Just got a new light switch body and as you can see from the pictures the switch will not fit into the body (yes I know I just set it on upside down for the sake of taking the picture and that's not the way it's supposed to go).
I even put my old switch body bottom on as comparison. Anyone else have this problem? It seems I'm going to have grind the black part of the switch itself down to get it into the switch body, or does it just sit on top of the bottom of the light body? Any suggestions? Definately not an original. Looks more like the flathead version. Jim Mason used to have pic's on his site on how to tell the difference. Too bad his site has once again been pulled from the web. Rod

Re: Wiring Harness Light Housing with pictures
I think it just sits on top of the lower part of the switch other wise
there is nothing to hold it up against the contacts in the upper part of the switch. Bob |

The lower keeps the plate "loaded" against the contacts and the horn rod button.... Make sense? |

Re: Wiring Harness Light Housing with pictures
The bottom cover is rounded on Model A's, but all the repro's seem to be flat. There are two different lengths of the bottom cover and bail wire, so be sure to use the correct parts together. I've had to bend bail wires for good support of the light switch.
