Default Carb work to be done and need ID of this one

I am not an expert on carbs, for sure and I am not familiar with this one as you guys may be. Can you please identify this carb for me so I know what I am dealing with.

It looks as if the previous owner did some diy gaskets on it and that is has been leaking at different areas. The muffler pipe looks discolored as if gas has been leaking back there and causing rust. I hope to remove the carb and do some work in the engine bay to change out some of the things the previous owner did. I did remove the air maze filter from the carb. Plugs are all very sooty and black.

I find that when i step on the gas pedal it is overly hard to push it down fully. No restrictions from the mat or wood floor boards, but really hard to press the pedal down fully when giving it the gas. The GAV is used only as a choke for starting the truck and does not turn sideways in any direction. I have no clue as to why he installed the hose clamp on the rod like that.

I have some wiring issues to get past before I start digging into this carb business, but I did want to id the carb and see if anyone has a clue as to what the issue is with the gas pedal? I don't see any binding at the assembly on the firewall area

This looks to be a mess to me, but fixable, I hope. Unfortunately, I have to get the burnt electrical wiring replaced before tackling the carb issues.

I hope these photos show enough to make an evaluation or good guess on as to where to start and what needs to be replaced and what can be salvaged.

Thanks

That's a modern Zenith. http://www.autotestsys.com/Merchant2..._Code=ZEN13922

The hose clamp is holding the choke rod onto the choke lever on the carb.
Have you tried unhooking the linkage to the carb and see which one is binding?

I have not played about with this issue just yet. Working on some others at the moment.

Thanks for the info and links. Like say, I am not a carb person. I hope to try to get on this project soon though, but I have some pressing electrical issues to resolve, first..
