I hd purchased one of those tranny dip stick things which was more a pain than not.
What WAS a help is the hole with cover plate I cut in the floorboard which permits me to check and fill the tranny without crawling under the car.
Without the dip stick, it should have been an inch or so to the left, but it makes tranny oil level checks a breeze.
