‘47 Lockheed rear brake?
The double stud / pin on the backing plates that the side opposite side to the brake cylinder is a very loose fit? There’s a washer that kind of locates that side of the shoes. Is the fit supposed to be that loose? I’m thinking when the drum is over them they float. Or r those parts on my used ‘47 backing plates shot? See in the pic one is assembled and I put the other one w thread side up to show.

Yep, there’s a brass washer that fits the round hole in the shoe and the ID fits the anchor pin. Part # 51A-2028.

Re: ‘47 Lockheed rear brake?
Thx for the reply. By yep r u indicating the fit between that washer & the holes in the shoes is a very loose, even sloppy fit?

Re: ‘47 Lockheed rear brake?
I have the washers in place & still seems like a very loose fit? I know the holes in the shoes are kind of slotted so expected loose in one direction mine is loose in both X & Y directions. Probably those washers are shot & need new brass washers, I think that’s the p/n u gave me?
