If I recall, I believe the late Mike Davidson from Austria had set-up or fooled around with a set up.

I also seem to recall someone makes a FI unit that "looks" a 2 bbl carb. I forget who is making those. Demon maybe. Anyone recall?

There is a member here "Kilohertz" who has done this. Check this thread out : https://www.fordbarn.com/forum/showt...fuel+injection.

I think Ray, (flat32) had one on his 32.
I drove it and it seemed to work pretty good.

My nephew had one they sold . They were made mostly in China. Infringement rights, poor sales, having a Chinese partner & blah blah blah led to the big "B". I think there was a writeup in one of the mags.

I helped my son put one on his 67 327ci sbc! Basically same bolt pattern as the Edelbrock 4 barrel that he got it with. We added a threaded adapter for the Oxygen sensor to the exhaust, hooked 12v dc to the CPU supplied via the Vette’s fuse box. It had a smart phone size keyboard & screen to set up parameters & adjust. Started engine checked screen adjusted per instructions & took it out for a ride. Ran great! I’ll check the post & thread Tubman posted!
Thx

Holley made one for a Y-Block. A friend had it on a 292, but sold the car before finishing the project.

Ford used one on the early '80's, 302 LTD's, that could be adapted to a FH. It has the Holley 2 bbl bolt flange on it.

Not sure if I’m explaining myself very well. A unit like this is what I’m talking about. I think the cpu supplied & setup is just powered by your 12V battery & inputs from ur distributor & a oxy sensor u need to integrate into your exhaust. Don’t think it cares what engine it’s on except your 4 barrel mounting holes on your manifold. https://www.classicindustries.com/pr...E&gclsrc=aw.ds

I have a near neighbor who is setting these up on slant sixes with good success. He has mentioned doing a Ford FH, would be great for me but all my cars are still 6v.

Give FI Tech a call. They are in Riverside, Ca., with good tech help. Spoke with them at SEMA and was impressed with what they do.

Here’s what I did on my 51. All custom made unfortunately, using Megasquirt and junkyard parts, but works great on my newly built 276ci. The video is of the system running on my old 239

Ken,

Did you used to be "KiloHertz"? I thought the car looked familiar.

Main advantages are faster starting after sitting for several weeks and perhaps 5-10% better fuel economy in my case. I thought it would quiet my wife down about the exhaust odor. Nope, the idle still needs to be pretty rich for smooth running, maybe 12:1 AFR on my meter… Ken

My 35 Coupe has been converted to fuel injection for the past 2 years. Motor is a 50 Mercury with an Edelbrock 4 barrel manifold and an 88 Chevrolet S10 pickup 4.3L V6 TBI. Runs well with an occasional problem of erratic idle speed which I have yet to sort outDSCN2722.jpg
