Default Informal Breakfast Meetings

Our club is planning on doing informal breakfast meetings. I have seen some references to such meetings on this site. For those of you that attend these types of meetings, can you give me some insights on the logistics?

How often do you meet and for how long and on what day of the week
What topics do you discuss
Where do you meet

Thanks for any information you can provide.

Marshall

Our club, Capitol City A's, has held informal breakfasts for nearly 20 years. Club businees is rarely discussed. The ladies sit at separate tables from the men and discuss the things that ladies do. The same for the men. The breakfasts are held every Saturday morning in a local resturant that provides us a separate room from the regular customers. We usually arrive about 7:30AM and lasts about 1 1/2 hours. Attended by 20 to 30 people. Weather permitting the Model A's are driven. Provides a great time of comaraderie for members and a good "get aquainted" opportunity for new or prospective members I certainly recomend it.

Floral City A's - Monroe, Michigan has three scheduled breakfasts per month. The second and fourth Wednesday at Denny's and the third Saturday at Benny's at 9:00 A.M. These are not meetings but basically just get-togethers. Like MAG sez we have the women and men segregated as they each have their own type of discussions. BTW the Wednesday breakfasts are the most popularly attended. I suppose as most Model A people in our club are retired they don't have all the traffic that Saturday does. The Saturday breakfast gives working member the opportunity.

The San Diego MARC/MAFCA group doesn't do breakfast meetings.
We do go to a local BBQ spot about once a month for a casual get together, whenever Arlyn gets a hankering for fried okra.
There is no formal agenda, people sit and chat about cars and anything else that comes along.

WhenI visit my granddau inKansas city I try to make the local club gathering. It is Monday morning 9ish to 10:30 ish at a local food market. They have a small eating area and allow the club to keep Model A photos on the walls. We order from the counter right next to the eating area and grab groceries Momma needs while there. Coffee jugs are nearby. Very informal and informative. I try and bring some show and tell for them boyz to ponder along with some yak dung to spread about...

A bunch of us old farts meet at the local diner every morning to solve the worlds problems, its amazing how long that takes. I don't know how much longer it would take if talked about Model As since I'm the only one that has one.

Ha! Charles,
They're talking about those OLD men, "OVER THERE"!!
Once I kept count at one of our get togethers and the words, "MODEL A" was REPEATED 377 times!! as if we didn't know what kind of car we were talkin' about!! Once, there were 9 conversations going on at the same time! Great fun and jokes abound, some of which I didn't understand. Later, someone asked me, "What went on over there this morning?"--------------????? Bill W.

Wednesday morning meetings, soon to change to Fridays at the Applebarn Restaurant in Brimfield Ma. Usually 15 to 20 members attend, very informal and many conversations including Model A's. 8 to 10 members have A's others have more modern classics. Started with 3 people 5 years ago.

We meet twice a week for coffee. Just like the Capitol A's. No business is discussed, but we do solve mechanical and world problems. You just need to find a place where about 20 guys can hang out for a couple of hours, and spend very little. Also where you can keep and eye on your cars as they attract a lot of attention

I thought they were closing and you were moving the meeting to a larger place.
