Default Tattersfield manifold with dual Strombergs

Engine rebuild is almost finished and I will fit a high rise dual carb Tattersfield manifold. On the old engine I ran a 97 Stromberg (9510A) with standard jetting.
The new engine is a french flathead with 4,2 ltrs, nothing special inside except a lightened flywheel. Should I leave the jetting well alone or is a change neccessary?
Thanks for your advice!
Harty

I have used standard main jets in 97s on a dual edelbrock manifold, but changed the power valves to #71 in place of #65s. With standard mains and 65 pvs, the engine would bog when the pvs were opened. Went to 71 pvs and problem solved. Engine is a 225 ci. One way to determine if pvs are to rich is to disconnect accelerator pump rods and see how the engine performs with just running on the mains and then reconnect the accelerator pump rods and run at at wot and see how it performs. Obtained mains and pvs from Hotrod company. You should have some fun on the autobahn - been there done that!!

Being in Europe and a French flathead - why not French Zenith/Stromberg 97's. They are marked 24.6 on the side which is the metric conversion.

Now there is something I never knew existed. I wonder if the French have a warehouse full of NOS ones somewhere.

Sheldon, I have bought that first Stromberg 97 new last year. I just need a matching carb for the Tattersfield. If anybody would have offered two matching carbs last year, I would have bought them. My car had a later Holley installed which did not work very well.

None in warehouses that I know of. Took me nearly 5 yrs to find these 2. They were on the Vendome and Monte Carlo's - mid 1950's ish. Super rare. I have had about 30 French 81's and those fly off the shelf. Here is a pic of the French 81.I dropped shipped them to Uncle Max for my buyer.
