My dog, Murphy, when he was alive, used to give out salutes on the 4th to all the wonderful VETS who helped to protect our country and our way of life. I wish he was here to do that again this year, but perhaps in spirit he is.

I'm going to play about with some of the diy ideas to install a flag onto the bumper of my Model A. My grandkids enjoyed planting small flags outside our house last night when they were here for a visit. The local Wintersmith park is gearing up already for a busy 4th. I still remember fond memories of Belton, Texas where I would watch for over an hour as the 4th of July parade strolled lazily along when I was a kid. It was a real fun memory from my past, too.

Enjoy and be safe. Also be vigilant these days. Remember our VETs and appreciate the holiday for what it is. God bless America!

Happy 4th!

We'll be marching with the SAR Chapter in the Rockwall parade. I'm afraid it will be a scorcher.

MY house is on the parade route. My car will be in the parade driven by a friend. I'm cooking Barbecue for 36 friends and relatives family tradition. Stop on over.

Parade? Parade? I ain't got to go to no stinkin Parade!

Boycotted Parades totally starting 45-years ago.

Always some despicable politician rodent stopping up the traffic flow so to kiss babies and hug buxom blonds n' brunettes. Then the clutch gets hot while the leg gets sore from slamming the pedal down every 13 seconds. Need to also drive while firing the water gun filled with ammonia so to help repel the howling mob of garbage and egg throwing miscreant thugs.

The antique car is for my pleasure and amusement and not that of a horde of vulgar holiday rabble and drunken bums.

Parades . . . Ba! Humbug!

Happy 4th of July, Absolutely. I cannot and will not give up just yet. California is lost and will not be coming back. I grew up in the burbs of LA and business and extended family takes me back every few years. That part of the USA is not the same as when I grew up. I support the USA in a number of ways. I'll be an Army of one if I must, but I will never give up on my country.

Happy 4th everyone.

I'm here at work tonight. By the time I get out I don't have time to meet up with the club for the parade.

Took some neighbors for a ride in the Model A. Drove by the Atlantic ocean for a cool breeze.

Good time....
