steering geometry problems
We have a 1931 A-180 and on it's drag link is a small dent, where the tie rod cross. The problem that these two rods touch each other is only when the car goes straight. When you turn the steering Wheel to left or right side, the gab between these rods get larger. Is this a general problem on a all original car or do the model A has different lenght of pitman arms? I wanted to swap the drag link with one from a chassis we have and it has the same gap.
Hope everybody can help me with my question. Thanks, Alex |

Re: steering geometry problems
Weak or broken springs., worn shackles, cracked front cross member. These were some of the thoughts on that thread.
