Default Head Gasket

I am looking for recomendations for the proper and most reliable head gasket to use when installing a higher comppresion"A" head on a "B" block. Also if there are any special procedures in doing so.
Thanks,
Jim

It depends on who made the head. Brumfield recommends exclusively the Felpro 7013. Snyders recommends their modern type gasket. Different heads have differently shaped combustion chambers. Its important that the gasket fit the head well. Placing various gaskets on the head and observing how they fit will tell you a lot. You do not want steel sealing rings extending into the fire or you will have a glow plug.. The entire edge of the gasket should be well clamped. Even copper edges will eventually fail unless they are well clamped.
