Default 31 Roadster Seatback

How is the backrest spring held in place at the top? The bottom of it is held in place by 3 "clips" (shown in photo) at the bottom...but what holds it at the top??? Are there clips? I can't seem to find anything in any of the supplier catalogs to address this....Thanks RB

On my roadster, the backrest is nailed all around as a railing over the upholstery to the wooden frame. It is held in place by the seat cushion below. The backrest can be folded up to "fold it over". (Perhaps I missunderstand your question.)
