Well thats certainly different, and 12v.
I like that primary ignition cable. Wish I had another one. I like the old small diameter flexible replacements. It seems no one sells them anymore.

A new cable has been ordered.

I don't care for dealing with that fat stiff cable.

This engine is sporting one of those High Corrosion Heads recommended by Ferrous Buehler for a fine rustoration. With the accessory acorn nuts it provides a horsepower boost you can feel in the seat of your pants.

I like the acorn nuts .

I use the acorn nut covers on some of my engines

. The acorn nuts were popular with the flathead V8s .

They are real good for covering up or hiding head studs and nuts that have been painted , for a fresh or cool look .

The nut covers that I use can fairly easily be slipped off by hand , whenever I may need to tighten or retorque the head .

I' haven't had one of the nut covers slip off and get lost

Packard use to use acorn nuts on some of their engines so I have been told.

If the Packard acorn nuts fit the Ford flathead V8 , they will also fit the model A .

Not sure what you're getting at. See some different ways of doing things, like not painting the head before it's installed? Or wiring? or sparkplugs? or the friction taped wiring harness on the firewall? or ??

Head leaking, extra clamp for thermostat at upper gooseneck? 4 blade fan to be changed to 2 blade for safety?

Regardless of what we all think, if this car was for sale at a classic car dealership we would see phrases like "quality restoration"; "100% original"; "turn-key" in the advert.

Altho I have never had a problem with MAC's, I don't usually use them either. But I find that they usually have things that other venders don't carry.

Someone put in a new head and didn’t paint it for one ....
Then, unknown if it’s 12 volt with a ballast resistor and someone doesn’t know how to not do they understand the model a wiring . Fix it to stock and you will be fine

I don't feel like driving to Lockport so they are sending it. Its on its way. I used to like Macs and talk in person to them, but, that changed some time ago. I've not dealt with them since Ecklers took over.
