Re: Wrecked old Fords
There is a new Arcadia book "Bowling Green Stock Car Racing" by Larry Upton and Jonathan Jeffrey with 125 pages (and that many or more pictures) of old Fords and a few others in the 1950s at Beech Bend Park, Bowling Green KY.

Reminds me when I was in high school back in the 70s. A classmate had a metallic brown late 40's E493A Prefect ( English Ford 10hp 4cyl flathead). They are a bit like the Anglias you Americans made drag cars out of. Well he rolled it one weekend. When he arrived at school on Monday it was blue. He just took the body of another one he had and transferred the plates off the wrecked one. Gb

Re: Wrecked old Fords
This '36 Deluxe just turned up on another site. No information, but it is most likely a staged safety campaign deal from a parade, IMO.

Re: Wrecked old Fords
One of the most famous ford accidents if not the most ford accident, ever. Donald Turnupseed, 1950 ford coupe.

Re: Wrecked old Fords
I came across this in Flat32's Photobucket album.
I love the leaves in the fender well. The caption for this is 'seat belt test,' but I was thinking, 'poo doesn't always flow downhill.' -VT/Jeff |

Re: Wrecked old Fords
Here are some ptcs I took a few years ago at a local junkyard. Not all Fords but cool cars. Notice the Airflow laying on its side, there was 2 of them and the other was already heading to the recycler that day. Heartbreaking!
