Default '27-'27 roadster windshield

I'm trying to restore an old rodded roadster to original, and want to know what type windshield was original. I've seen some with a two piece split and some one piece that were a little shorter that the two piece. Any info is appreciated.

I believe the two piece split is correct.

Thanks for the reply. I wonder where the one piece windshields came from?

It probably came from a hot rod shop. Wolf !!

I bought a rusty one via ebay. It has the wiper fitting, the push/pull handle at the bottom, rubber seal grove for the cowl, and swivels match the T stanchons. It matches the curvature of the cowl. I've conviced myself it is from Ford. I'd appreciate any info or comments. I'll supply any measurements needed. We can communicate via email if desired and I'll post any results here for general information.

The one piece is a hot rod windshield for chopped top or no tops.

Runnig with the top down and the winshield closed causes too much wind on the back of your neck. And side wind.

If you block the top half open about 1 1/2 inches it drasticly reduces wind eddies on you.

Makes much more pleasant driving at higher (35-65 mph) speeds.
