Default 32-35 babbit main crank

I just stripped a 35 engine with a junk block. I was thinking, and that always gets me in trouble. Question, what's the difference between a 32 to 35 crank? I know they all have 2in. main and 2in. rod journals. Will they all interchange? Thanks Walt

Walt, I know they use the same rod bearings and have the rabbit mains, crank pulley is the same,
I have both and they look the same,
I will look at the part number.

Walt, I have a complete block I am going to sell if you need one. Has crank and pistons and valves etc. I am not going to use it and my son found an L.B. he is going to use instead. Kerk

same crank was used as a replacement back to 1932. Some 1932 cranks were steel.

Walt, As HamerAuto said, 32 to 36 V-8 blocks with babbit bearings use the same crank. The 32 to 36 Chassis Part Book lists Part # 18-6303 for the crank. The 1936 insert block used the 68-6303 crank

Re 36 insert main crank

1937 & 1938 21 stud used the same crank & the 81a 1938 24 stud
engine used same crank--short nose , small main 2.4 ", small bore
flush face pulley.

Please let me know if this is incorrect--@ 72 + , I'm still learning.

Wasn't the '32' Crank a Forging, and the others castings.

I knew the 36LB and 37-38 21stud had the same crank 2.400 main BUT I didn't relize the 38 24stud used that same crank. I thought when they went to 24stud they went 2.500 crank. No matter how long you work on flatheads every once in awhile you learn something new. I think I'll start using cross word puzzels. That would keep me busy a long time on the first page. Walt
