Default Cowl Band to Cowl Lacing ?? 2 inch space

Where the 2 inch space under the hood between the cowl band to cowl lacing is on the sides part of the gas tank welting "HAS: or HAS NOT" have the bead Thanks just going over every detail to make sure. Marco i would call but i think Steve C. called enough this month..l.o.l. B.B.Q.

They were usually trimmed.

Thanks Marco. I did look at the 170b i have and the bead was missing in this part but did not come thru to the firewall as you showed in second to last picture.

Marco , this means that the tips of the welting coming from the tank thru firewall was painted black too.
