Default Found this NUT on the Oil Pan and Need to Indentify

This is original, has not been replaced and found this last night when going through some other Pans.. Can anyone help to identify it please. Never saw a hex like this.

I just sold a NOS one last week & the man that got it said he had been looking for quite a while for one like it.. Said it was for VERY late 31 & into 32 trucks ???..I have NO IDEA...All that, IF correct, is news to me !!...

YES that is what i have also been told, LATE 31...i don't know if correct but lets see if we get some replies and who knows

By the looks of the above oil pan, It shows, @ least to me, that a change has been made !! But When ??.. (only to the drain plug nut)..

I have a 1929 AA 188-A truck orginal with engine #AA1955916 with a oil pan that you show. I understand that it was a early oil pan. I with I know for sure..

SORRY BUT Facts are July 31 ford began using the oil pan HEX NUT.. So it is wrong on what you have on the truck.. but if it is a driver who cares but this is a 31..

Just checked three Model B engines and all have the hex. One is early (Mar 32) one is very late (Dec 39 industrial) and one unknown date.
