Chunks From Steering Wheel
Group,
Couple of chunks fell off the steering wheel where the steering wheel and column meet. Fun driving home ! Looking at the wheel, it seems that the steering wheel is metal and has "bakelite" moulded around it. Am I correct that the strength/function of the wheel is O.K. for now with some chunks missing from the part near the column ? Marc |

Re: Chunks From Steering Wheel
Yes, you have a steel ring welded to 4 spokes and a hub. It'll be safe to drive, and you can JB Weld the pieces back in place. You can also fill any cracks and restore the steering wheel if you want.
