Default Rear wheel bearing

My 1930 Tudor brakes were converted to hydraulic by an unknown previous owner. The hub and drum appear to be 1946-1948.

When replacing the rear wheel bearing should I use the same item as used on the stock Model A hub?

Thanks

I think you need to use the newer bearing that is used in the repair of model A worn hubs. Look in the Brattons catalog at the repair of hubs section at the very first part of the catalog. They sell a sleeve that goes into the worn hub then you use the later size bearing which has a the same inside dia. but a smaller outside dia. Check it out.

The bearing you need was used from some time in 1936 through 1948. It is the same inside diameter (the surface that rides on the axle housing) with a smaller outside diameter (the surface that rides on the drum).
