vacuum windshield wiper arm install
Been running my vacuum wipers with no problems for several years. I changed wiper arm and blade two years ago. Never ran the thing as a rule but one day the arm/blade blew off and onto the tank. Been screwing with it ever since. When tinkering with it I always assumed the clip was the culprit. Coming home from Vancouver last Saturday the wiper blew off and thank god Greg Weast saved my bacon with Rain-X. I'm still tinkering and with good light I'm now watching the 90' bend of the wiper arm seems to be the bad guy. It just walks itself right out of the hole on the shaft. Then with no resistance the clip lets loose and the hole works falls off. Shaft seems real solid ( good bushings). thoughts!!!

Re: vacuum windshield wiper arm install
Bob, I can relate to your problem. When I installed a new wiper blade on my "A" a few years ago, I had difficulty doing it. Unfortunately, I don't remember how I did it. If I figure it out, I'll let you know. Otherwise, maybe some kind soul will come to your rescue. Best of luck.
