Default Trouble with turn signals

Do not know all of the details but a friend installed turn signals on this Model A. He says that the signals work fine(blink) when the engine is off but as soon as the engine starts the signals will no longer blink but just stay on. Any body else have this problem or maybe know a reason.

Sounds like a bad flasher unit. Get a heavy duty unit, one with a relay inside.

What kind of lights is he using ? What is/are the CP or wattage ? How many lights is he using ? Which flasher is he using ? What voltage is he using ?

Had that problem once, just changed the flasher, actually with a cheapie. worked fine.

If you happen to have LED bulbs, you likely need a "no load" flasher. See this thread:
